About Us
Our Story
After owning a successful retail garden center for 15 years, Tony and Ann Costantino began L & A Wholesale, Inc. in 1986. Although still actively assisting around the nursery, L & A Wholesale, Inc. is now run by their children Nick and Marina (also known as Tina) as well as their son-in-law Eric.
Initially established as a small wholesale supplier of basic evergreens, our plant offering rapidly grew as local landscapers and garden centers continued to demand greater variety for their clients. We are a family run business dedicated to providing superior quality and selection at the best possible price. In order to maintain the lowest cost for our customers, we continue to operate as a small no-frills operation. We currently receive shipments from specialty growers across the country and pass our volume discounts on to our customers.
We are pleased to provide high quality plants to members of the trade; as well as the general public.
We are known for the quality of our product; selling only grade "A" materials. When choosing plants for our orders, we do our best to personally visit tree farms and growers. We select and tag our own materials in order to ensure that they will meet our standards.
Unlike the stock available at most smaller retail garden centers, our trees and evergreens are landscape ready sizes.
Most deciduous trees are available in at least 2-2.5"caliper.
We do our best to stock evergreens in the 6'-10' range.
